  • The Root Social Justice Center 28 Williams Street Brattleboro, VT, 05301 United States (map)

You're invited to our special Friendsgiving: Soul Food Sunday Mixer🍽️

SFS is one our beloved monthly BIPOC affinity offerings AND in the month of November we are inviting our ENTIRE community of ALL ages and identities to come join us for a special Friendsgiving Mixer celebration!

🗓️Sunday, November 10th

⏰1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

📍 At The Root Social Justice Center: 28 Williams St, in Brattleboro, VT.

♿️The Root is a Wheelchair Accessible Location

This is a Potluck style gathering and we invite you to bring any dish your heart desires, warm soups, baked goods, roasted chicken, mulled cider, we welcome it all!

Added Bonus we'll have a limited amount of food provided by 802 Soul Kitchen, so come early if you want to enjoy their delicious cooking!

Bring your own tupperware (BYOT) for those leftovers too!

Please note that you do not have to bring a dish/soul food to attend. Bring what you can and come to be in community.

*Soul Food Sunday is traditionally a space created to provide a safer space for communities of color to come together to heal and connect. Food is a wonderful way of doing that and often allows of us to share a piece of ourselves and our culture. Soul Food Sunday is about having fun, building strong relationships, sharing resources, and building social power among communities of color.*

December we'll return to our regularly monthly BIPOC affinity SFS schedule.
