Hello everyone, we hope your summer went well!! The fall season is coming up which means Y4C is officially back!!

We are hosting a Halloween Movie Night for ages 12-22, this October!! Come wear your costumes, enjoy pizza, candy and games at The Root Social Justice Center on Friday, October 24th 5-9:30pm. The movie we’ve picked is Sinners!!

Games will include Uno Attack, Monopoly Deal, Cards Against Humanity, Exploding Kittens, etc. Bring your own games if you have any you’d like to share with others!! (You are responsible for your own property, The Root will not cover any lost or broken pieces, cards or any materials you bring.)

Costumes are not required but feel free to show off something scary or even just your favorite cosplay!

Doors will open 5pm starting with games,mingling and food and Sinners will play from 7-9:30pm.

DISCLAIMER: Sinners is a Rated R movie so we will be requiring parent/guardian consent for youth ages 16 and under. Email youth4change@therootsjc.org for our form OR we will also have printed copies at the doors day of.

Youth 4 Change is a multi-racial group for youth ages 12-22 interested in social justice, healing, art, youth leadership and more! If you are interested in youth empowerment and want to be a part of building a youth centered community, join us at Youth 4 Change meetings the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 5:30-7:30pm at The Root or a local location!

Our mission.

Youth 4 Change aims to empower and amplify the voices of all youth. We reach out especially to youth that are BI-POC, LGBTQIA+, Low income, Differently abled and differently schooled along with those oppressed in any other shape or form. Together, our diverse group of youth advocates stand in solidarity and fight for front line communities locally in their educational systems and abroad on national movements. Using art, outreach, protests, trainings, workshops and correspondence to achieve our goals on racial and social justice.
